Situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center, a Long Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a reliable, caring, experienced candidate for the Chief Physical Therapist position.
The Chief Physical Therapist is responsible for the overall supervision of physical rehabilitative services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy at the South Mountain Restoration Center. Other responsibilities include planning and coordinating services as well as evaluating and meeting the needs of residents for physical rehabilitation services.

Planned working time percentages are approximate and can change daily due to operational needs.
Supervision / Management ? 35%
? Supervise the provision of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy the Center.
? Formulate goals and objectives to ensure that rehabilitative services are provided as efficiently and effectively as possible and are in conformance with the mission and the treatment and administrative objectives of the department, the Center and OMHSAS.
? Determine priorities and assign responsibilities among subordinates.
? Monitor operations to ensure that rehabilitative services meet accrediting and regulatory agency standards.
? Establish and maintain a quality assurance program across functions and monitor quality assurance activities within each area of responsibility.
? Monitor, analyze and evaluate programs. Report findings to supervisor.
? Formulate policies and procedures for areas of responsibilities to ensure the quality of resident care within the Center.
? Guide and supervise staff on assessing and providing for the physical rehabilitation needs of residents.
? Determine best products for resident care. Meet with vendors and make recommendations concerning the best specialized equipment for the Center. Complete paperwork to facilitate purchases.
? Prepare bid proposals, work with selected vendors, and oversee work provided by contracts for areas of responsibility.
? Performs the full range of supervisory duties for assigned staff.
Clinical Services ? 40%
? Perform full assessments and diagnostic tests on referred residents to determine the nature and extent of disabilities. Develop appropriate physical therapy treatment and service plans. Review resident progress and response to treatment.
? Provide a wide range of services including treatment for physical therapy, rehabilitation, and seating and positioning needs.
? Administer prescribed treatments by the application of currently accepted Physical Therapy modalities including therapeutic exercise, massage, mechanical devises (including adaptive equipment, parallel bars or walking ramps, hydrotherapy, heat therapy, and electric stimulation).
? Provide residents and resident representatives with education about their specific physical condition related to need for physical therapy services
Work with Interdisciplinary Teams ? 15%
? Participate in interdisciplinary treatments team meetings. Work with interdisciplinary treatment teams in developing individualized care plans for residents.
? Provide educational programs for Center employees as requested by administration.
Documentation ? 10%
? Develop long and short term goals and specific interventions for the residents' plans of care.
? Document Assessments and interventions in the Electronic Medical Record
Other Duties ? 5%
? Attend in service and out service training as required by the Center or directed by supervisor.
? Participate in work groups and committees as directed.

+ Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - One year as a License Physical Therapist (Commonwealth title) OR Two years of experience as a professional physical therapist
+ Necessary Special Requirement -Possession of a license to practice physical therapy issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
